20% of recent master's theses at 12 Dutch universities largely written by AI chatbots
A massive 20 percent of recent Master’s theses in the Netherlands were largely written by an AI chatbot, RTL Nieuws discovered when scanning hundreds of recent theses from 12 Dutch universities through the AI detection tool Pangram. Only 41 percent of theses contained no AI-generated text at all, the broadcaster wrote. Education Minister Rianne Letschert called it fraud and urged universities to intervene.
