Adding a feature to a closed-source app

I use Audiobookshelf (abbreviated ABS) for all my legal audiobooks that I bought legally, and I really like it. I also use the Smart Audiobook Player (abbreviated SABP) Android app, which I also bought (legally this time) to listen to books, because it has the strongest featureset out of all the apps I’ve tried, particularly when it comes to navigating around books.
