Startup brings ancient Roman concrete technology to modern construction


The startup Dmat is commercializing findings from Admir Masic’s MIT lab to create a cement additive based on ancient Roman technology. The new material increases the lifespan of concrete structures by 50 percent, and reduces CO2 emissions to 40% of traditional concrete.
