11 Bit Studios has revealed new footage of its upcoming sci-fi survival title The Alters at the Xbox Partner Preview event. Thanks to mysterious resources that allows him to change his past decisions, Jan is able to create alternate versions of himself — the titular “Alters.” These Alters help him run the base, with the overall goal being to escape the planet before survival becomes untenable. The Alters have specific skills for each aspect of running the base, including mining, crafting and resource-gathering — though they also have their own needs and goals that Jan Prime must manage.
