Sega Corp. is teaming up with international partners to expand in Asia and lower its reliance on the Japanese market. The author of the Sonic the Hedgehog franchise has been seeking to shift its game developers’ focus away from just the domestic market and console players, Sega President Shuji Utsumi said. Sega’s beefed up its mobile game offerings, with holding company Sega Sammy Holdings Inc.buying Angry Birds creator Rovio Entertainment Oyj in 2023.
