An indie project for early 2010s internet addicts
This was a pretty fun project: not only did I manage to tickle the part of my geek brain which loves spotting patterns; I got to handle some nifty processing, threading, and optimisation problems! Some of these sequences, like quads, are a little tougher to number crunch, so it was simpler to generate tens of millions of OTPs and counting the incidence of each kind of interestingness, to get a feel for their relative frequency. This was a pretty fun project: not only did I manage to tickle the part of my geek brain which loves spotting patterns; I got to handle some nifty processing, threading, and optimisation problems!
