A BSD person tries Alpine Linux

By Ruben Schade in s/Singapore/Sydney/. 🌻

an independent, non-commercial, general purpose Linux distribution designed for power users who appreciate security, simplicity and resource efficiency. Like the BSDs, it’s found its way into embedded systems, routers, and mobile devices, as well as general purpose servers and desktops. I love that htop(1) and lsof(1) only shows a small list of recognisable processes, that it uses OpenRC, that package management seems straight forward, and that it’s so simple to configure.
