A new AI-powered weather app is coming to Google Pixel 9 phones
Google just revealed its new weather app, called Pixel Weather, that uses AI to inform weather reports.
According to Google, the inclusion of AI is designed to supplement traditional weather reporting for increased forecasting accuracy -- for example, when exactly thunderstorms will begin and end. The idea behind the app is to provide a more descriptive daily forecast -- rather than just numbers and percentages -- for a more digestible user experience. The new app enables users to move around the weather tiles they care about most, whether that's the daily UV index or air quality.
