A new Nest Learning Thermostat might be on the way

Google’s next hardware event is on August 13th.

The thermostat appears to work with a redesigned Nest Temperature Sensor (2nd gen), which, like the current models, is wall-mountable or can be placed on a table. It also doesn't support Matter, the smart home standard Google is a big part of, while the cheaper Nest Thermostat does.
