A tiny iPad-like smart display could ship next year, says report

Apple is working on its first smart display, and a new report says it might arrive in 2025

A report from Mark Gurman in his Power On newsletter suggests that the iPhone maker is developing its first iPad-like smart display that will resemble the design of the iMac G4 from 2002. For software, Apple is expected to introduce a new operating system called homeOS which will power all of the company’s future smart displays. Previous reports indicate that the smart display could arrive in the first half of the year, so stay tuned as we inch closer to that time frame in the next few months.
