Activision shuts down classic MW2 multiplayer mod

Activision sent a cease and desist letter to the H2M mod that aimed to recreate 2009's Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 multiplayer.

Activision Publishing has shut down a highly anticipated mod that aimed to recreate the multiplayer experience of 2009’s Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2. The H2 Multiplayer (H2M) Mod planned to go live on August 16, 2024, but the team received a cease and desist letter from Activision the day before launch. Like other high profile mods, H2M planned to release a gameplay experience that rivaled a full title or DLC.
