Amazon Delays Kindle Colorsoft Deliveries by 5-6 Weeks Over Yellow Tinge Problem

For US customers, Colorsoft deliveries are not expected until Dec. 19-20.

It looks like Amazon needs an extra month to fix the yellow tinge issue on the Kindle Colorsoft, meaning it won’t ship until a few days before Christmas. Instead, a spokesperson on Monday merely reiterated the company’s previous statement: “A small number of customers have reported a yellow band along the bottom of the display. We take the quality of our products seriously—customers who notice this can reach out to our customer service team for a replacement or refund, and we’re making the appropriate adjustments to ensure that new devices will not experience this issue moving forward.”
