Amazon earnings boosted by AI, ads, and cost-cutting


Revenue is up, costs are down.

Amazon posted its Q1 2024 financial earnings on Tuesday, reporting revenue of $143.3 billion, a 13% increase compared to the first quarter of 2023. Amazon CEO Andy Jassy attributes some of its growth to the ongoing AI boom, lowering costs, and improvements within its Ads business. Derrek is a long-time Nokia and LG fanboy who loves astronomy, videography, and sci-fi movies.
