Amazon is shutting down its Freevee app in August

Amazon plans to shut down its Freevee app, the company’s free ad-supported streaming service, in August, according to an in-app notice to users.

The free, ad-supported streaming service is directing viewers to continue watching Freevee content on Prime Video. The move doesn’t come as a surprise, as Amazon confirmed back in November 2024 that it was sunsetting the service and integrating its content into Prime Video.
