Amazon workers at two NYC warehouses are set to go on strike

Workers at two Amazon warehouses in New York City are set to go on strike over pay and working conditions. They claim that the company has yet to come to the table to negotiate a union contract.

Workers at two of Amazon's warehouses in New York City are set to go on strike after the company failed to come to the bargaining table by a December 15 deadline. "The truth is that the Teamsters have actively threatened, intimidated, and attempted to coerce Amazon employees and third-party drivers to join them, which is illegal and is the subject of multiple pending unfair labor practice charges." The Senate Committee on Health, Education, Labor and Pensions claimed the company ignored internal research indicating that there was a high level of injury rates at its warehouses.
