AMD FSR 3 is the latest version of our cutting-edge open upscaling technology – adding advanced frame generation technology for significant framerate boosts in supported games 2 and a new “Native AA” quality mode for enhanced image quality, all supported across a wide range of graphics cards, from both AMD and other vendors. Following the launch of AMD FSR 3 and the first two supported games, Forspoken and Immortals of Aveum™, we released the source code for developers on GPUOpen in December 2023, including updates that added support for variable refresh rate (VRR) technology like AMD FreeSync™ and improvements to FSR 3 frame pacing for a more fluid gaming experience when frame generation is enabled. When using FSR 3 with a VRR display, we suggest that you keep your framerate (with frame generation enabled) within your monitor’s refresh range to prevent screen tearing.
