AMD Ryzen Threadripper 9000 Series Launching In July For Linux Workstations

Along with announcing the Radeon AI PRO R9700 and Radeon RX 9060 XT specifications, on the CPU side AMD used their Computex 2025 keynote for introducing the Ryzen Threadripper 9000 series that will be launching in July.

The Ryzen Threadripper 9000 series will top out at a 5.4GHz clock frequency and support eight channel DDR5-6400 ECC memory. Availability is in July so we should know more by then as well as hopefully being able to deliver Linux performance benchmarks for these next-gen Threadripper Zen 5 CPUs. Michael is also the lead developer of the Phoronix Test Suite, Phoromatic, and OpenBenchmarking.org automated benchmarking software.
