Solving a mystery about an E-Reader function

The E-Reader's ERAPI API includes drawing functions like DrawLine and DrawRect, which would be needed for such a feature. But in short, ERAPI is an API that Nintendo added to the E-Reader to make game development easier. And even though I could successfully get rectangles drawn onto the screen with DrawRect, I hadn't completely figured out how it works.
