Years earlier, I came across someone who had prints of his favorite music albums with an NFC tag inside of them, and I made something similar for my kids. It requires you to turn on the Apple TV, launch the Plex app, and wait for it to become available in Home Assistant before sending it a command to play a specific movie. A couple of months after I made this system, I came across a post on the Plex forum explaining how you can make smart playlists that shuffle themselves every time you open them.
