Android 16 Is Coming Today, 3 Months Earlier Than Normal
If you own a Pixel phone, you’ll soon be getting an upgrade to Android 16. Those on Samsung phones and other Android handsets will get the update later.
The tweet adds a winky face, which may be an acknowledgement of the brand making a big splash while its biggest rival is midway through its annual developers conference, WWDC. While Android 16 is launching earlier, it will remain limited to Google's Pixel devices for now, with other third-party handsets expected to get the software at a later date. Other features include a revamped Quick Settings menu, Live Updates from various apps to keep you abreast of changes, and further changes to the lock screen to make it even more customizable.
