Android phones just got a major convenience upgrade for Office files


The company is finally bringing anonymous file sharing to Android.

You may like Now when an Android user receives a Word doc, PowerPoint deck, or Excel sheet, they can jump right in with no red tape to cut through first. The sender just opens the file in Word, Excel, or PowerPoint, taps the share icon, then either types in an email or copies the link. However, considering how deeply rooted Office apps are in work and school life, adding anonymous file sharing on Android feels less like a new feature, and more like fixing something that should’ve been there all along.
