Android XR will be another DOA Google product
I don't like the sound of that either.
(Image credit: Jerry Hildenbrand)On the hardware front, Google has two very successful platforms that are used by billions of people nearly every day: Android and Chromebooks. I don't even want to talk about Daydream, but it was in the middle; it was reasonably priced, it used your existing phone, and another abandoned platform from the company that told us it was the next big thing. But Android XR is going to need to end up in a lot of hands to make it worthwhile to maintain, and I just can't see that happening.
