Android’s leadership team just got another shake-up


Dave Burke is changing jobs.

That suggests there might be more changes on the team beyond Burke leaving, and 9to5Google reported Wednesday that Google’s platforms and devices team is “undergoing a reorganization.” Google didn’t immediately reply to a request for comment about the reported reorg. On Wednesday, Google announced that ChromeOS would be developed on portions of the Android tech stack in part so that it can roll out AI features more quickly.
