Apple exec says Siri will get ‘much bigger upgrade than we envisioned’

Apple’s Craig Federighi reportedly gave a Siri update to staff last week that emphasized a much bigger Siri upgrade coming.

That meeting, which Bloomberg said was like an hourlong pep talk, included a key update from Siri’s new boss: Craig Federighi. Last year in its iOS 18 presentation at WWDC, Apple introduced a ‘more personalized’ version of Siri with AI enhancements that would supercharge the assistant. Federighi is now ultimately in charge of Siri, but Mike Rockwell is the one actively working to fix the assistant and set it up for a strong future.
