Apple faces lawsuit over Apple Intelligence delays

Apple has been sued in federal court over what plaintiffs allege is false advertising of several Apple Intelligence features.

Filed Wednesday in U.S. District Court in San Jose, the suit seeks class-action status and damages on behalf of those who purchased Apple Intelligence-capable iPhones and other devices. “Contrary to defendant’s claims of advanced AI capabilities, the products offered a significantly limited or entirely absent version of Apple Intelligence, misleading consumers about its actual utility and performance.” Bloomberg reported Thursday that Apple CEO Tim Cook “has lost confidence in the ability of AI head John Giannandrea to execute on product development.”
