Apple Intelligence now requires almost double the iPhone storage it needed before

Apple Intelligence launched with 4GB of storage requirements, but now that number has almost doubled already—and adds up with each device.

Apple Intelligence arrived on compatible iPhones, iPads, and Macs via a staggered rollout. If you want to use AI features across all three devices (which I’d assume most of us do), that’s a grand total of 21GB of free space being used by Apple Intelligence. It may be time to start upgrading the standard storage tier you opt for with your next iPhone, iPad, or Mac purchase.
