Apple is changing how MacBook Pro speakers are replaced and it could make repairs cheaper

Replacing the speakers has long required replacing the top case, but that's about to change according to a memo seen by Macrumors.

A memo seen by Macrumors reportedly informed Apple Stores and Authorized Service Providers this week that speakers will be available as standalone components for the 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro with the M4 family of chips. It may not necessarily be a simpler repair — the guide shows a process that’s rather involved — but not having to also replace other parts like the battery just to change out the speakers should cut costs significantly. These are the best Lego Black Friday deals you can get this year, including steep discounts on Super Mario and Star Wars sets.
