Apple prepping allowing API access to any external LLM model for enterprise on devices beyond ChatGPT
Apple is reportedly adding support for enterprise accounts, but in a way that extends beyond its current OpenAI partnership.
As reported by TechCrunch, with the upcoming iOS 26 update, Apple will add “the ability to configure the use of an enterprise version of OpenAI’s ChatGPT,” which offers different privacy settings, higher usage limits, as well as extra features such as company data integration. In other words, the system could theoretically allow integration with other AI companies that offer Enterprise accounts, such as Anthropic, Google, and Microsoft.
