Apple pushes back on call to end diversity programme


The tech giant has asked investors to reject a proposal from a conservative group to end its DEI policies.

Apple's board has called on investors to vote against a proposal to end its Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) programmes. Apple's board also said the DEI rollback plan "inappropriately seeks to micromanage the Company's programs and policies by suggesting a specific means of legal compliance." In a memo to staff about the decision - which affects, hiring, supplier and training efforts - Meta cited a "shifting legal and policy landscape".
