According to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, Apple is preparing the release of AirTag 2 around the “middle of next year.” The design will stay pretty similar but will improve on the original model in three key ways. Apple originally releasedAirTag in early 2021, after nearly 2 years of long-lasting leaks that made everyone question whether or not the product was even gonna happen. Gurman makes reference to the fact that a number of people have used the device for stalking, and some have even modified AirTags to completely disable the speaker.
