Apple rolls out iOS 18.6.1, watchOS 11.6.1 with restored Blood Oxygen feature
If you didn't have it already, blood oxygen sensing is again available to U.S. users with the rollout of iOS 18.6.1 and watchOS 11.6.1.
Once a user updates both devices, sensor data from the Blood Oxygen app on Apple Watch will be measured and calculated on the paired iPhone. Masimo also accused Apple of poaching staff and using confidential technology without proper credit. This update does not apply to Apple Watch devices sold outside of the U.S. or those purchased and activated before the initial ban.
