Apple smart glasses could launch in 2027 with new chips, per report

Apple is also working on a slew of other chips, including new ones for the watch and AirPods

The iPhone maker is working on a chip based on what’s inside the Apple Watch, according to a report from Mark Gurman at Bloomberg. Apple reportedly hopes to start production of the chip in late 2026 or in 2027, making it sound like we’ll get the company’s first smart glasses in two years’ time. He’s been reporting on the latest consumer technology since 2015, with his work featured on CNN Underscored, ZDNET, How-To Geek, XDA, TheStreet, and more.
