Apple takes aim at the world's most popular browser in creepy new ad - see for yourself


Safari vs. Chrome: Apple's latest ad showcases its approach to your privacy versus its take on Google's. But will it actually motivate people to make a change?

In an ad that debuted yesterday on the official Apple YouTube channel, the company calls out browsers that don't protect user privacy, and while it never says so directly, the implication is that it's talking about Google Chrome. The ad, which has definite Hitchcock or Black Mirror vibes, shows a city scene with security cameras that turn into birds and bats. Chrome is the world's most popular browser by a large margin, and people generally stick with the technology they're comfortable with.
