Apple to announce $100B further commitment for US manufacturing


This is on top of Apple's previously announced plan to invest $500 billion into the U.S. over the next four years.

Apple plans to increase its commitment to U.S. manufacturing, according to a White House official cited and first reported by Reuters. Apple, which mainly manufactures its devices in India, China, and Vietnam, has already been affected by tariffs. The company incurred $800 million in tariff-related costs during the June and expects to spend $1.1 billion in the next quarter, CEO Tim Cook said during an earnings call last month.
