Apple, Tesla, Spotify: The tech announcements that never happened in 2024

They thought we wouldn't notice. But we noticed.

But this new generation of CarPlay sounds like it could bring us as close to the fabled Apple Car as we're ever going to get, given that the company reportedly stopped working on the projec t after a decade of development. The company originally announced it in February 2021(yes, nearly four years ago), and, at the time, it seemed like a logical step up to compete with Amazon, Apple, and Tidal, all of which offered high-fidelity streaming on their music services. Finally, unsupervised FSD, which should bring newer Teslas to the point at which they can drive themselves without the need of a human driver's intervention, is now scheduled for 2025, even though it was originally promised way, way earlier than that.
