Are PayPal and Venmo down for you? What we know - and alternatives to use
The outage is prohibiting people from sending or receiving payments.
A tab on the same page showed Venmo's status as "Operational," but that's clearly not the case. While I was writing this piece, PayPal updated that page with a message saying, "We are still observing impact to Retail Checkout, Online Checkout and Braintree in our production Environment. Our Technical teams are actively investigating and working to mitigate the impact as quickly as possible.
