Asahi Linux brings support for AAA gaming to Apple Silicon Macs running Linux

It’s been possible to run Linux on newer MacBooks and Mac desktops for a while, but some hardware features are still unavailable or considered works in progress (like Thunderbolt support or DisplayPort Alt Mode functionality). The Fedora Asahi Remix GNU/Linux distribution is now shipping with alpha versions of OpenGL, OpenCL, and Vulkan graphics drivers that allow you to play some games on Macs with M1 or M2 series processors. Liliputing's primary sources of revenue are advertising and affiliate links (if you click the " Shop" button at the top of the page and buy something on Amazon, for example, we'll get a small commission).
