Atari and Plaion reveal the Atari 7800+ console for a winter launch

Atari announced it's launching a 7800+ retro console in partnership with Plaion sometime in winter 2024, along with two controllers.

The updated console has HDMI connectivity and comes with a Wireless CX78+ Gamepad, and is also compatible with Atari 2600 and 7800 cartridges. In addition to the aforementioned CX78+ controller, Atari and Plaion have also announced the CX40+ Wireless Joystick. Ten new games cartridges launch alongside the new console, which include classic Atari titles such as Asteroids Deluxe, Berzerk and Frenzy (all programmed by Atari homebrew developer Robert DeCrescenzo).
