I assured him that dropping deaths did not hurt the game's realism; never, in all my years on the National Security Council, had I heard the total number of fatalities discussed as a policy consideration. Balance of Power has become a time capsule that preserves the mindset of an era of global tension, and the worst and deepest fears of multiple generations of human beings.
