Meta owned Threads is the Big tech’s latest social media app that collects unjustified amounts of personal user data like your sexual orientation, political opinions, and ethnicity among a lot more. After coming under scrutiny in the EU and facing many scandals over mishandling user data, one would think big-tech Meta would try to make privacy focused changes, but with the release of Threads, it shows otherwise.
