Bose Ultra Open Earbuds review: Are these the best open earbuds you can buy?
Bose Ultra Open earbuds are the gold standard
(Image credit: Tshaka Armstrong)The default stereo sound is good, and the three-band equalizer in the Bose Music app makes it even better, but it’s the Immersive Audio and Auto Volume features that elevate the listening experience to the level of premium pricing. (Image credit: Tshaka Armstrong) Bose did an outstanding job of creating virtual layers without making it sound like some cheesy overprocessed audio gimmick and it works with all of your music, not just Dolby Atmos, or Sony 360 tracks. Never fear, as Bose “solves” this “problem” by giving you the option to purchase a $48 charging case accessory, bringing the total price to $348 if you want your earbuds equipped similarly to Sony’s WF-1000XM5, or Sennheiser’s Momentum True Wireless 4.
