The Arch Linux based CachyOS operating system that is known for pursuing aggressive performance while still delivering a nice Linux desktop experience is out with its September 2024 release. CachyOS has also been picking up more patches from Intel's Clear Linux for squeezing out better performance. CachyOS has also been transitioning from Zlib to Zlib-ng, GCC fixes for AMD Zen 5 tuning, and various other fixes and tuning improvements.
