Canada’s Zero-Emission Vehicle Registrations Surge, On Track to Meet 2026 Goals


In terms of overall registration in Q4, battery electric and hybrid dominated the zero-emission vehicle and hybrid category.

With a multitude of new EVs coming into Canada over the next few months and years, the 2026 goal is certainly attainable. According to charts created by Jeff Boichuk on X, formally Twitter, we are on pace, but it will require continued strong sales and new records nationwide, especially in the battery electric segment.
