Rather than putting more restrictions on shooting, it would have been much easier and faster to save the raw frames (with original sensor subpixels) to the flash drive for processing later by a much more capable computer using better algorithms that can constantly be improved. The Canon R5 made IBIS High Res a feature when it only offered a single JPEG output without the capability of saving individual frames with the sensor shifted by sub-pixel amounts.
