Last year Canonical delivered an Intel TDX "tech preview" for Ubuntu 23.10 to experiment with using Intel Trust Domain Extensions (TDX) found on the latest Xeon server processors. A list of the Intel TDX 2.1 changes for Ubuntu 24.04 LTS can be found via this GitHub page. TDX is Intel's approach to isolation, confidentiality, and integrity at the VM level with modern Xeon processors.
