CarPlay (in iOS 26) is about to get one of Apple’s best recent iPhone features (Live Activities)
Live Activities are one of Apple’s best recent iPhone features, and this year they’re coming to CarPlay for the first time.
The example pictured above is a nice one: if you’re picking someone up from the airport, a flight Live Activity can give you the latest information on their status. iOS 26 offers a toggle to disable Live Activities in CarPlay if you’d prefer not to see them. For two years he co-hosted the Adapt podcast on Relay FM, which focused entirely on the iPad.
