CarPlay Ultra: These brands have said ‘no’ to Apple’s new features


Apple has a strong list of partners committed to CarPlay Ultra, but there are also big holdouts not offering support. Here’s who’s missing.

BMW Buick BYD Cadillac Chevrolet Chrysler Dodge Fiat GMC Jeep Lexus Mazda Mercedes-Benz (previously committed but backed out) RAM Rivian Subaru Suzuki Tesla Toyota Volkswagen It seems that Apple’s vision for controlling more of the vehicle’s instruments via CarPlay Ultra is something that plenty of those same automakers aren’t interested in. As more automakers ship CarPlay Ultra support in the future, and the platform evolves, it will be interesting to see if that changes at all.
