Catalan court says NSO Group executives can be charged in spyware investigation

The ruling said that a lower court can charge two NSO Group co-founders and a former executive of two affiliate companies for the alleged hacking of a lawyer.

In a lower court, Iridia requested the judge charge Lavie, Hulio, and Somekh, in addition to their companies. “This ruling sets an important legal precedent in the fight against spyware espionage in Europe,” Iridia spokesperson Lucía Foraster Garriga told TechCrunch. “We have no comment,” NSO Group spokesperson Gil Lanier told TechCrunch in an email.
