Certified randomness using a trapped-ion quantum processor

Certifiably random bits can be generated using the 56-qubit Quantinuum H2-1 trapped-ion quantum computer accessed over the Internet.

In this work, the classical computational budget of the client is spread across the Frontier 31, Summit 32, Perlmutter 33 and Polaris 34 supercomputers equipped with graphics processing units (GPUs), which are especially suitable for quantum circuit simulations.
