China tech firm claimed it could hack Foreign Office

A Chinese company claimed it had the ability to hack the UK's Foreign Office, leaked documents suggest.

The files reveal eight years of i-Soon's work to extract data and gain access to systems in the UK, France and several Asian countries - including Taiwan, Pakistan, Malaysia and Singapore. In another chat log, a user sends a list of UK targets to i-Soon that include the British Treasury, Chatham House and Amnesty International. It is unlikely that the outcome of investigations by the Chinese authorities will ever be made public says Dakota Carey, a non-resident fellow at the Atlantic Council's Global China Hub.
